Butterflies and Roses

Sweet roses blooming yellow, red, and pink
As Butterflies fly down from the sky
Dancing through the meadows
So sweet
Their colors so vibrant
Orange, and black
Yellow, and white
As they frolic and play
In the sunshine all day

Through the Sunset

Through the sunset
And over the flowery meadows
I fly
Tis my home sweet home

The colors all glistening yellow, and orange
Purple, and blue
Tis my home sweet home

The sparrows flying low
Singing good night to the world
Tis my home sweet home

The daylily closes her head
As the wind so softly blows
Tis my home sweet home

Stories I Write

Arrow learns a lesson

There once lived a puppy who was training to be a hunting dog. The puppy’s name was Arrow because that puppy could run as fast as an arrow can fly. Arrow’s master decided to take the puppy on a hunting trip. He wanted to observe how Arrow would react. Finally the day came for Arrow’s first hunting trip. Arrow was so excited! He could barely eat his breakfast. On the hunting trip Arrow did not want to fetch the ducks his master shot. Arrow spied a porcupine and wanted to chase it. Just as he was about to run after the porcupine his master shouted “fetch that duck,” and the porcupine got away. As soon as the puppy spotted the porcupine again he took off. His master caught him by the tail and clipped on Arrow’s leash. Arrow kept on pulling; he pulled and pulled. Finally with a sigh his master declared “alright have it your way,”and then released Arrow’s leash. Arrow shot away, barking ferociously, after the porcupine. In just a few minutes he came whimpering back to his master with porcupine quills all over his face. He never dashed after another porcupine again. Arrow always stayed focused, which made him one of the best hunting dogs ever, because he learned a very good lesson that day.
